SKIN CARE FOR MEN OF VARIOUS AGES:

18 year old :
These individuals are experiencing hormonal fluctuations. Early intervention with proper skin care will prevent blemishes from turning into permanent acne scars.

Do not start smoking. Early cigarette smoking is addictive. A hard habit to break. The adverse affects of smoking affect the entire body. You wouldn’t suck the fumes from your car exhaust then why smoke.
Watch out for second hand smoke, it may be worse than smoking. Wrinkled skin, sallow complextion, poor healing and increased risk of cancer, lung and heart disease.

Diet is critical: Keeping well hydrated with water 6-8 glasses a day and even more if they are involved in sports.
Limiting junk food that is high in fat and sugar without much other benefit. Getting in the habit of enjoying fresh fruit daily. Fresh vegetables, polyunsaturated fats such as olive oil rather than margarine , protein and whole grains.

Starting a life long habit of exercise that will maintain good circulation and bone mass.
Wearing sun blocks #30 and hat with a brim .
Using moisture cream especially after shaving.
Do not use drying cleansing products for skin.
Turn pillow case over each night so that you are not lying on facial oils.

28 years old:
Refrain from cigarettes or cigars or quit.
Increase exercise program to target bone and muscle building.
Limit sun exposure and use sun block and protective clothing.
Moisture cream.
Diet conscious.
Glycolic acid treatments.

Improve diet and increased need for appropriate exercise to maintain bone and muscle.
